Long-tailed Nesillas

Nesillas longicaudata

The Long-tailed Nesillas is a small, insectivorous bird found in the forests and scrublands of Madagascar. It is characterized by its long tail and olive-brown plumage, with a distinctive white stripe above the eye. This species is known for its agile foraging behavior, often seen hopping and flitting among the dense vegetation in search of prey. Long-tailed Nesillas are typically solitary or found in pairs, and their melodious calls can be heard echoing through the forest. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
