Long-toed Lapwing

The Long-toed Lapwing is a medium-sized wader found in sub-Saharan Africa. It is characterized by its long yellow legs and striking black and white plumage. This species is often found in open grasslands, wetlands, and floodplains, where it forages for insects and small invertebrates. Long-toed Lapwings are known for their distinctive 'did-he-do-it' call and are often seen in pairs or small groups. Although not currently considered globally threatened, they may face localized threats from habitat loss and disturbance.
