Louisiade Pitta, Erythropitta meeki, is a pitta of Rossel in the Louisiade Archipelago east of south-east New Guinea, where it breeds in Australasia. It is confined to Rossel Island and lives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Once treated as part of the red-bellied pitta, it is now recognised as a separate species. The bird was described by Rothschild in 1898.
