Lovely Sunbird, Aethopyga shelleyi, is a passerine in the family Nectariniidae that breeds in the Palawan group in south-western Philippines. It is found in the Oriental Region and is confined to the Philippines. Its habitat includes tropical moist lowland forest and tropical moist montane forest. The species is set apart by the male’s crimson upperparts and streaked yellow breast, while the female lacks the red breast markings. It was described by Sharpe in 1876 and was once treated as the same species as the handsome sunbird.
