Lowland Sooty Boubou Laniarius leucorhynchus is a bushshrike found across lowland forest and moist shrubland in Africa, from Guinea and Sierra Leone to Ghana, south-eastern Nigeria and Cameroon, then on to Uganda, central DR Congo and northern Angola. It belongs to the family Malaconotidae and was described by Hartlaub in 1848. Its range is tied to African tropical rainforest regions, with subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and shrubland among its habitats.
