Luapula Cisticola

Cisticola luapula Lynes, 1933

Luapula Cisticola, Cisticola luapula, is a passerine in the Cisticolidae family and was described by Lynes in 1933. It occurs in Africa from Angola and Namibia through Zambia to Zimbabwe, with its range also reaching eastern Angola, Lake Mweru in south-eastern DRC, northern Botswana and north-western Zimbabwe. It is a monotypic species. Its split from the winding cisticola has been recognised by the IOC and HBW, alongside the rufous-winged, coastal and Ethiopian cisticolas. It lives in tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland and swamps.
