Mionectes macconnelli

MacConnell's Flycatcher (Mionectes macconnelli) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the Amazon Basin of South America. This species is known for its olive-green plumage, pale yellow underparts, and a distinct white eye ring. It has a short, slightly hooked bill and a habit of perching in the middle to upper levels of the forest canopy. MacConnell's Flycatcher is typically observed in tropical lowland forests, especially near rivers and streams. It forages by gleaning insects from foliage and occasionally sallies to catch flying prey. The conservation status of this species is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
