Madagascar Blue Vanga

Madagascar Blue Vanga, Cyanolanius madagascarinus, is a passerine in the Vangidae family that breeds in Madagascar, where it is present across the north, east and west, but not the central part of the island. It lives in dry deciduous forest and in moist lowland forest, and has also been recorded in littoral woodland, nearby secondary growth and mangroves. It uses the middle and upper storeys of trees, and has been noted at heights of up to 1,200 m, with reports from as high as 1,600 m. The species was described by Linnaeus in 1766.
