Madagascar Fish Eagle, Icthyophaga vociferoides, lives along coastal and riverine areas in north-west to west-central Madagascar. It is a bird of prey in the Accipitridae family, and was described by des Murs in 1845. This eagle is also known as the Madagascar sea-eagle, a name used to separate it from other fishing-eagles. Its breeding range is limited to Africa, with the species tied to Madagascar’s coastal strip and river systems.
