The Madagascar Magpie-Robin is a small passerine bird native to Madagascar. It is known for its striking black and white plumage, with a distinctive white patch on the wings and a long, slender black tail. These birds are highly territorial and can often be found singing from prominent perches to defend their territory. They are insectivorous, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth of Madagascar's forests. The Madagascar Magpie-Robin is currently listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List due to habitat loss and fragmentation.
