Madagascar Magpie-Robin, Copsychus albospecularis, is a chat of the Old World flycatcher family found across Madagascar. It is endemic to the island and occurs in many habitats, so its presence can be patchy and it may be either common or scarce according to local conditions. Three subspecies have been described, with ranges in the north-east, the east and south-east, and the remainder of the country, although their limits are not clearly defined. It is a member of the Passeriformes and was described by Eydoux and Gervais in 1836.
