Madagascar Pochard, Aythya innotata, is a duck of the family Anatidae that breeds in north-west Madagascar, where it is now almost gone and confined to a single lake in the Banemavka area. It was described by Salvadori in 1894. Once thought to have disappeared, it was found again in 2006 at Lake Matsaborimena near Bemanevika. Since then, a captive breeding effort has supported the species, and birds were returned to the wild in 2018. It is an extremely rare diving duck in the genus Aythya.
