Madagascar Wagtail, Motacilla flaviventris, is a wagtail of the family Motacillidae that breeds in Madagascar. It is found across the island and is especially frequent in the east and on the central plateau, with fewer records in the north and west and only scattered presence in the south. It lives near water, including rivers, lakes and seashores, and also uses open places such as rice fields and gardens. It occurs from sea level to 2,500 metres. It is a common species with grey upperparts, a white breast, a yellow belly and a black breast band.
