Magdalena Tapaculo, Scytalopus rodriguezi, is a tapaculo from central Colombia in South America. It was described in 2005 by Krabbe, Salaman, Cortés-Diago, Quevedo, Ortega and Cadena. It is known only from two sites on the eastern side of the Cordillera Central, near the head of the Magdalena Valley, and has been recorded at 2000 m or higher. It lives in humid forest with thick undergrowth. Its scientific name commemorates José Vicente Rodriguez Mahecha, a Colombian conservationist.
