Fregata magnificens

The Magnificent Frigatebird is a large seabird known for its striking appearance and impressive aerial displays. With a wingspan of up to 7.5 feet, this species is predominantly black with a distinctive red throat pouch that males inflate during courtship. They are highly skilled at soaring and often steal food from other seabirds. Found in tropical and subtropical regions, these birds are known for their agility and grace in flight. They nest in large colonies on remote islands and coastal mangroves, where they raise a single chick. Despite their impressive flying abilities, they are vulnerable to habitat loss and human disturbance.
