Oroanassa magnifica
The Magnificent Sunbird (Cinnyris magnificus) is a strikingly beautiful bird found in eastern Africa. The male sports iridescent plumage with a metallic green head, bright red chest, and shimmering blue throat. The female is less colorful, with olive-green upperparts and a yellowish belly. These sunbirds are nectar feeders and play an important role in pollination. They are often found in gardens, woodlands, and forest edges, where they flit from flower to flower in search of nectar. Their melodious calls and acrobatic flight make them a delight to observe in the wild.
