Magpie Starling, Speculipastor bicolor, is a starling of eastern Africa, breeding from Ethiopia and Somalia through Uganda and Kenya to north-eastern Tanzania. It was described by Reichenow in 1879. It is a gregarious, nomadic bird of dry brush and thorn-scrub. In flight, the pale patches at the base of the primaries are easy to see. The species belongs to the family Sturnidae. Its range also includes South Sudan.
