Malagasy Green Sunbird

Malagasy Green Sunbird, Cinnyris notatus, is a sunbird of the Comoros and Madagascar in the family Nectariniidae. It occurs in the western Comoros and on Madagascar, where it is associated with dry forest, moist lowland forest, mangrove forest and moist montane forest. It was described by Müller, PLS, 1776. The species has also been treated under the name long-billed green sunbird, and it has at times been placed in the genus Nectarinia. A form called moebii has sometimes been regarded as a separate species, the Comoro green sunbird.
