Malagasy Turtle Dove, Nesoenas picturatus, is a pigeon and dove found in Madagascar and across nearby islands in the western Indian Ocean, including Mauritius, the Comoros, Réunion, Mayotte, Seychelles and the Chagos Archipelago. It breeds in the Madagascar region, and the Chagos Archipelago may also hold introduced birds. It belongs to the family Columbidae and was described by Temminck in 1813. Some island populations are scarce, but the species as a whole is regarded as of least concern.
