Malayan Black Magpie Platysmurus leucopterus is a bird of the Corvidae family found in the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Bintan, Bangka and Belitung. It is a treepie rather than a true magpie, and it was once thought to be a jay. Its natural homes are moist lowland forest and mangrove forest in the tropics and subtropics. The Bornean Black Magpie was formerly treated as a subspecies of it.
