Mangrove Honeyeater, Gavicalis fasciogularis, is a honeyeater found along the eastern coast of Australia from coastal Queensland to northern New South Wales. It belongs to the family Meliphagidae and was described by Gould in 1854. It is now treated as a separate species after once being grouped with the varied honeyeater. Its range is limited to this coastal strip, and it is generally locally common across much of it, though less so in the south.
