Mangrove Robin Peneothello pulverulenta is a bird of mangrove forests in New Guinea, the Aru Islands and northern Australia. It is closely tied to tropical and subtropical mangroves above the high-tide line, and it rarely moves beyond that habitat. Its name reflects this association. The species has rounded wings and tail, a shape that helps it move through dense mangrove growth. It is also marked by a faint pale bar on the lower part of the flight feathers, though this is not easy to see.
