Maranon Antshrike, Thamnophilus shumbae, is a passerine bird of the antbird family found in north-central Peru. It breeds in the Marañón River basin and is associated with lowland tropical and subtropical deciduous forest, as well as riparian areas and shrubland. It is a non-migratory species. The bird was described by Carriker in 1934. Its name comes from Shumba in Cajamarca, Peru. It has been placed with the collared antshrike by some authorities, while others treat it as a separate species.
