Maranon Thrush, Turdus maranonicus, is a passerine of the thrush family that lives in northern Peru. It was first named by Taczanowski in 1880 and remains the only member of its group. The species is tied to the Marañón basin, where it occurs in dry forest, secondary growth, riparian woodland, scrub and gardens, and also along the margins of wetter forest and woodland. It is a resident bird. Its range in Peru extends through the upper and middle Marañón valley to Huánuco Department.
