Margaret's Bowerbird (Charmosynoides margarethae) is a species of bowerbird found in the mountain forests of New Guinea. The male of this species is known for its striking appearance, with iridescent blue and black plumage, while the female is predominantly olive-brown. These birds are known for their unique courtship behavior, where the males build and decorate bowers to attract females. They are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits and occasionally insects. Margaret's Bowerbird plays an important role in the ecosystem as seed dispersers.
