Marmora's Warbler, Curruca sarda, breeds on Mediterranean islands and winters in north-west Africa. It is a passerine in the Sylviidae family, and its range includes Corsica and Sardinia, with the smaller Balearic Islands form treated separately as Balearic Warbler. The species is a resident bird overall, though some individuals move south for the winter. It lives in open ground with thorny scrub and heather. The bird is small, long-tailed and large-headed, and it is grey above and below. Adult males show darker areas on the forehead and between the eye and bill, with red legs and iris.
