Maroon Shining Parrot, Prosopeia tabuensis, is a parrot of the family Psittaculidae found in Fiji, with an introduced population in Tonga. It lives in the Pacific Ocean, including Vanua Levu and Taveuni in Fiji and southern Tonga, where it was brought in prehistoric times and is now present on ʻEua. It is known for its variable plumage, with a maroon underbody, a red and black face, green upperparts and tail, and a dark blue collar that may be reduced or almost missing. The bill is grey to black, with a dark grey eye ring and orange-yellow eye.
