Sula dactylatra
The Masked Booby is a large seabird found in tropical and subtropical oceans. It has a distinctive appearance with a white body, black wings, and a pale yellow bill. This species is known for its remarkable plunge-diving hunting technique, where it can dive from great heights into the water to catch fish. Masked Boobies typically nest in large colonies on remote islands and atolls, often on the ground or in low shrubs. They are highly adapted for a life at sea, spending most of their time over open water. The conservation status of the Masked Booby is of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
