Masked Tityra, Tityra semifasciata, is a passerine of Middle America and South America, ranging from Mexico to north-eastern Argentina. It was first described by Spix in 1825 and belongs to the family Tityridae. It is a resident bird across its range. It lives in open forested country in tropical and lower subtropical zones, including forest canopy, edges, clearings, secondary growth, semi-open woodland, savanna with scattered trees, and plantations. It is a medium-sized bird. Its breeding season changes from place to place.
