Mato Grosso Antbird, Cercomacra melanaria, is a passerine of the antbird family in South America, breeding in central Bolivia, eastern Bolivia, northern Paraguay and western Brazil. It was first described by Ménétriés in 1835. The species is placed in Cercomacra and has no recognised subspecies. It is a resident bird with a disjunct range, occurring in gallery forest, tropical deciduous forest and seasonally flooded savanna woodland, usually close to water and often in dense, tangled understorey. Part of the Bolivian population also occurs in dry Chaco forest.
