Mayan Antthrush, Formicarius moniliger, is a passerine of the antthrush family that breeds in Middle America from southern Mexico to north-western Honduras. It was first described by Sclater in 1857. The species is tied to humid evergreen, semi-deciduous and deciduous forest, and it also uses coffee plantations and mature secondary growth. It is mainly a ground-dweller and stays in the same area all year. Its breeding season is not fully known, but it includes at least March to May. The species has three subspecies, with regional differences in plumage.
