Acrocephalus mendanae
The Mendanae Reed Warbler is a small passerine bird native to the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. It is characterized by its olive-brown upperparts, pale underparts, and a distinct white supercilium. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in dense reed beds and mangroves. The Mendanae Reed Warbler forages for insects and small invertebrates in its preferred wetland habitats. Despite its limited range, this species is not currently considered to be at risk of extinction.
