Tangara labradorides (Boissonneau, 1840)

Metallic-green Tanager, Tangara labradorides, is a tanager of the montane forests of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, with a breeding range that runs from Colombia to Peru. It was first described by Boissonneau in 1840. The species has two recognised subspecies. The nominate form occurs in western and central Colombia and western Ecuador, while T. l. chaupensis is found in south-eastern Ecuador and northern Peru. The latter is greener, has a paler underside, lacks gold on the forehead, and shows golden-green edges to the primary flight feathers.
