Metallic-winged Sunbird, Aethopyga pulcherrima, is a passerine of the Philippines in the Nectariniidae family. It lives in tropical moist lowland forest and tropical moist montane forest, and its range is confined to the country. The species was first described by Sharpe in 1876. It was once treated as three separate birds, known as the Luzon sunbird, Mindanao sunbird and Bohol sunbird, before being combined into one. Three subspecies are recognised, with the Luzon form occurring in montane Luzon, the Mindanao group in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, and the Bohol form on Bohol.
