Myiagra nana
The Micronesian Myiagra (Myiagra nana) is a small songbird found in the Micronesian islands of Palau, Yap, and the Mariana Islands. It has a distinctive blue-gray plumage with a black mask and white underparts. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard in the forested areas where it forages for insects. The Micronesian Myiagra plays a vital role in the ecosystem as a predator of small invertebrates, contributing to the balance of the local food web. However, due to habitat loss and predation by invasive species, its population is declining, and it is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
