Midget Flowerpecker, Dicaeum aeneum, is a bird of the Solomon Islands, breeding from the north to the south-east of the archipelago in Australasia. It belongs to the flowerpecker family and was described by Pucheran in 1853. Its range is tied to the islands, where it occurs in lowland forest, mangrove forest and moist montane forest. Males and females share dark wings and a white and yellow underside, while the male also shows a red upper chest. The species does not migrate and has been present in the Solomon Islands since 1900.
