Miller's Woodcreeper

Microxenops milleri

Miller's Woodcreeper (Microxenops milleri) is a small, inconspicuous bird found in the humid forests of South America. With its mottled brown plumage and long, slender bill, it forages for insects and spiders by creeping along tree trunks and branches. This species is known for its distinctive vocalizations, often heard in the early morning or late afternoon. Miller's Woodcreeper plays an important role in its ecosystem by controlling insect populations. However, due to habitat loss and deforestation, its populations are declining in some regions.
