Mindanao Lorikeet, Saudareos johnstoniae, is a parrot of montane Mindanao in the Philippines, where it breeds in the Oriental Region. It lives in montane forest and along forest edges above 1,000 metres, and is tied to the island’s upland habitats. The bird is marked by a red face, a dark purple band on the head, an orange bill, a dark grey eye area and a red iris. Males and females look alike. It is also known from Mount Apo.
