Mindanao Pygmy Babbler, Dasycrotapha plateni, is a bird of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, where it lives in tropical moist lowland forest and tropical moist montane forest. It is placed with the white-eyes and is now treated in that family rather than with the babblers. In the field it can be told from the Visayan pygmy babbler by its stronger reddish-brown plumage. It is found in forest undergrowth and along edges, and it may join mixed flocks with other forest birds. Its range reaches 1,100 metres above sea level.
