Mindanao Scops Owl, Otus mirus, is an owl of montane Mindanao in the southern Philippines. It lives in tropical mountain forest above 1,000 metres, including mossy forest at those heights. The bird is one of three montane scops owls, alongside the Luzon Scops Owl and Mindoro Scops Owl. It is marked by strongly barred wings and back, a mottled white and brown underparts pattern, and small white ear tufts. It was described by Ripley & Rabor in 1968.
