Monteiro's Bushshrike, Malaconotus monteiri, is a passerine of the bushshrike family that breeds in south-west Cameroon and north-west Angola. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. In Angola, it is mainly associated with the Angolan Escarpment. The Cameroonian form is known from a single specimen taken on Mount Cameroon, and a second subspecies has been described from Angola. The Cameroon bird has a larger bill and paler underparts than the nominate form. Its wider relationships within Malaconotus have not been resolved.
