Moorea Sandpiper, Prosobonia ellisi, is a sandpiper from Moorea in the Society Islands of eastern Polynesia. It belonged to the Scolopacidae family and was described by Sharpe in 1906. The bird was endemic to Moorea and was said to live close to small brooks. It is now extinct. Records from the late eighteenth century show it was still fairly common then, and invasive rats may have played a part in its decline and disappearance.
