Cinnyris moreaui
Moreau's sunbird (Cinnyris moreaui) is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The male has a metallic green head, throat, and upper breast, with a bright blue band across the chest. The belly is yellow, and the wings and tail are black. The female is olive-brown with a yellow belly. This species primarily feeds on nectar and insects. It inhabits montane and lowland forests, as well as forest edges and clearings. Moreau's sunbird is known for its distinctive vocalizations, including trills and whistles. The conservation status of this species is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
