Morotai Friarbird, Philemon fuscicapillus, is a honeyeater found in Australasia on Morotai in the northern Moluccas. It belongs to the family Meliphagidae and was described by Wallace in 1862. This bird is dark brown with paler underparts, and the skin around the eye is bare and pink. It is about 30 cm long. The dusky-brown oriole closely resembles it, and the two species occur in the same habitat. Its natural home includes tropical moist lowland forest and tropical moist shrubland, and it has also been recorded in coconut plantations.
