Mountain Firetail, Oreostruthus fuliginosus, is a species of estrildid finch that breeds in montane central and south-eastern New Guinea. It is found in upper montane forest edges and in shrubby margins beside subalpine grasslands across the central highlands. It is the only member of the genus Oreostruthus. Described by De Vis in 1897, it belongs to the family Estrildidae within the order Passeriformes.
