Mountain Robin, Petroica bivittata, is a bird of montane New Guinea in the family Petroicidae. It occurs sparsely across the New Guinea Highlands and breeds in Australasia’s mountain regions there. Its habitat includes moist montane forest and subalpine shrubland. It takes insects in flight. Two subspecies have been recorded, Petroica bivittata bivittata and Petroica bivittata caudata. Described by De Vis in 1897, it is one of the Australasian robins.
