Motacilla clara
The Mountain Wagtail (Motacilla clara) is a small passerine bird found in the highland streams and rivers of eastern Africa. It is characterized by its striking black and white plumage, with a long tail that it habitually wags up and down. This species is known for its distinctive, melodious song, often heard as it perches on rocks or low branches near water. The Mountain Wagtail is an adept insect hunter, frequently seen foraging along the water's edge or in nearby grassy areas.
