Mouse-colored Thistletail, Asthenes griseomurina, is a bird of the Furnariidae family that breeds in south Ecuador and north Peru. It lives on both sides of the Andes, including the separate Cordillera del Cóndor in Amazonas Department. Its range covers páramo grassland, the transition into cloudforest, and Polylepis woodland. In Ecuador it is mostly found between 2,800 and 4,000 m, with some records lower down, while in Peru it occurs mainly between 2,900 and 3,300 m, and around 2,150 m in the Cordillera del Cóndor. It is a year-round resident.
