Moustached Antwren, Myrmotherula ignota, is a passerine antbird of Middle America and South America, from eastern Panama to north-west Ecuador and western Amazonia. It was described by Griscom in 1929. This small forest bird is best known for the male’s broad dark moustache. The species is split into two subspecies, with one in Panama, Colombia and north-west Ecuador, and the other from south-central Colombia through Ecuador into Peru and western Brazil. It lives mainly in lowland evergreen forest, especially in the canopy and subcanopy.
