Muisca Antpitta, Grallaria rufula, is a passerine of the family Grallariidae that breeds in eastern Colombia and south-western Venezuela, from Norte de Santander to Cundinamarca and western Meta, and in Táchira. It was described by Lafresnaye in 1843. The bird takes its present name from the Muisca people of the eastern Andes. It is a monotypic species in current IOC treatment, and its name was retained after the split of the former rufous antpitta complex. Its range lies in the Andes, where it occupies humid montane forest, dense regrowth, bamboo thickets, Polylepis woodland and nearby páramo.
