Glossopsitta concinna
The Musk Lorikeet (Glossopsitta concinna) is a small parrot species native to southeastern Australia. It is known for its vibrant green plumage, with a red forehead and blue crown. These sociable birds are often found in flocks, feeding on nectar, pollen, and native fruits. They are also known to visit suburban gardens and parks. Musk Lorikeets are important pollinators and play a key role in maintaining the health of their native ecosystems. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and urbanization, they are currently considered to be of Least Concern by the IUCN.
